My previous entry was about how the "year end" things were happening, and here's another one. This year's baseball season is over for the Mighty Matthew! He sure had fun playing. And you know what? We all, I think, had fun going to see him play. I will admit having some frustrations -- but isn't that the case, when you're watching something, you can always think of 100 ways it is wrong and should be better. At the end of the day, what mattered though was that Matthew was enjoying himself. He told me more than once that "baseball days" were his favorite ones. This is worthwhile! Here's just a few thoughts about the season, and then you can view it.
1. Matthew typically had his tongue sticking out while he ran the bases.
He was concentrating hard!
2. Matthew always always slid into home base. Always.
And he was so proud of himself for doing so.
3. Matthew picked his own bright orange helmet.
You know what? He was so easy to spot sitting on that bench though, because of it!
4. Having grandparents present at events, makes those events better.
5. Having friends come cheer your kid on, is awesome.
6. Mark pretty much concluded that baseball games = snack time.
9am, 6pm, what's the difference, "can I have a snack?"
7. Matthew made us proud!
What a great introduction to the wide wide world of SPORTS!
